What Matters Most
As Christmas is upon us, I’ve been reflecting on what truly matters most
For me, it comes back to – my family and friends and Jiu-Jitsu!
Spending more time with my family and loved ones reminds me how important it is to slow things down and appreciate the important connections in our lives – both on and off the mats.
So over this holiday season, I encourage you to focus on what matters most to you.
These slower moments in life are precious – you should use them to spend more time with loved ones, reflect on the past year, or simply recharge your batteries…
The holidays are also a perfect opportunity to reconnect with your Jiu-Jitsu goals 🥋
If you have a quiet moment over the holidays, it’s worth practicing this visualization exercise.
Think about:
What you want to accomplish in 2026
What new skills you can develop
How you plan to deepen your understanding of Jiu-Jitsu over the next year
Even write these down if you can. And revisit these goals several times over the year.
May 2026 be your best year yet! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
God Bless,
John
