Kids BJJ Travel Season 2026
For Bushido kids, parents, coaches, and youth competitors preparing for Jiu Jitsu Con Kids 2026.
Jiu Jitsu Con Kids 2026
This event provides competitive opportunities for all age groups. This will be an excellent opportunity for our students, coaches, and families to experience the camaraderie of competition together. It is a singular event in the Jiu-Jitsu world, featuring a multi-day conference with many booths, special guests, talks, seminars, and more. There is something for everyone.
Dates
Friday, September 4th & Saturday, September 5th, 2026.
Travel & Flights
We recommend avoiding flights in the afternoon and evening. If your flight is delayed and your child competes in the morning, it could affect their rest.
We recommend flying into Las Vegas Airport (LAS).
Lodging
There will be no suggested central locations for this event.
In general, we recommend avoiding hotels on the Las Vegas strip. The Westgate Hotel, however, offers the advantage of being connected to the convention center where the event is held.
There are many VRBO or Airbnb options in Las Vegas with cheaper nightly rates. However, they will likely be farther from the venue, so transportation, rental car costs, and parking fees should be considered.
Competitor Guidelines
Bushido Competitor Guidelines For Pan Kids
Please discuss with your coaches whether your child is ready to compete at Pan Kids. Still, as a general guideline, we recommend that students meet the following criteria before competing at this level:
- Pan Kids only has divisions for grey belt and up. Students must at least have a grey/white belt.
- They have won their division at three local tournaments.
IBJJF Membership Process
To register for any IBJJF event, all participants must have an active IBJJF membership. We recommend starting this process as soon as possible, but it will take time because signed professor approval is required.
Athlete Registration
- Pan Kids is for kids ages 4–15. IBJJF calculates age by current year minus birth year.
- Athletes must weigh in on the day of competition, right before their first match, in their uniform.
- When registering your child and selecting their weight class, verify their weight while wearing the uniform they plan to compete in.
- They only get one chance to make weight on the day of the event. We do not recommend cutting any child’s weight for a jiu-jitsu tournament.
- We recommend re-weighing your child on athlete check day.
- Please discuss with your coach which division your child should compete in.
IBJJF Uniform Requirements
There are strict GI requirements for this competition. Please ensure a Bushido patch is on your GI.
If your GI has additional patches, please ensure they are in an IBJJF legal location.
We may also have custom Team Bushido competition gear for this event, and we request that all participants wear it at the tournament.

- GI must be royal blue, white, or black and made of cotton or cotton-like material.
- Top and bottom must be the same color.
- GI top should come no more than 5 cm from the athlete’s wrist when arms are extended.
- GI pants should not exceed 5 cm above the ankle bone.
- Athletes cannot wear a t-shirt underneath the GI; if anything, it must be a rash guard.
- Athletes are prohibited from wearing pants or spats under the GI.
