2025 Bushido Jiu-Jitsu Summer Camp


Program Overview

This summer camp combines martial arts training with traditional camp activities, fostering physical fitness, creativity, life skill building and personal growth. The program is designed to teach discipline, respect, and self-confidence while ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all participants.

One-week sessions with flexible options for combining Week 1 & 2 for discounts:

Week 1: July 14 -July 18, 2025

Week 2: July 21 -July 25, 2025

Hours:

8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (optional late pickup until 6PM for eligible Bushido members)

Ages:

6-12 years old


Daily Schedule

 

Morning Warm-Up (8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.):

Light stretching, yoga and exercises.

Introduction to basic Jiu-Jitsu movements and techniques.

 

Martial Arts Training (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.):

Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals: Focus on self-defense techniques, grappling, and teamwork.

Kick Boxing Basics: Teach striking techniques in a safe, controlled environment.

Emphasis on building confidence and discipline through expert instruction with Coach.

 

Snack Break (11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.):

• Campers bring nut-free snacks to enjoy while recharging for the day.

 

Outdoor Adventures & Games (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.):

• Activities like obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, water games, learning to fish, learning to BBQ, and team-building exercises in the park.

 

Lunch (12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.):

• Campers bring their own nut-free lunches. Staff ensures compliance with the nut-free policy.

 

Enrichment Activities (1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.):

Rotating options include:

Martial Arts-Focused Crafts:

Design custom Gi patches using fabric markers and iron-on materials.

Create martial arts-themed crafts like origami stars or DIY headbands.

 

Fitness and Mental Challenges:

Agility drills using cones, ladders, and foam dummies for martial arts-inspired obstacle courses.

Mini-tournaments featuring sparring matches, technique challenges, or balance games with rewards.

Team-based relay races incorporating martial arts moves like shrimping, exercises and rolls.

Educational Sessions on Jiu-Jitsu History & Philosophy.

Interactive storytelling about the origins of Jiu-Jitsu.

Discussions on martial arts values like respect, resilience, humility, and perseverance.

Role-play scenarios teaching conflict resolution and verbal assertiveness.

 

Life Skills Activities:

Learning how to tie knots.

Learn to fish.

Learning to BBQ.

Proverbs lesson.

 

Afternoon Free Play & Cool Down (2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.):

Open mat time for practicing techniques or light sparring under supervision.

Relaxation activities like storytelling or group discussions about personal growth.

 

Aftercare Program (Optional for members only; until 6:00 p.m.):

Additional martial arts practice, board games, or movie screenings for campers staying late.

 Pricing Structure

Standard Rates:

$400 per week.

$750 for two weeks ($375 per week).

 

Late Pickup: (Bushido Members Only)

• $100 per week Add-On (Non-Bushido Members)
