What being a “Coach” means……

As we prepare for the World Championships—and every competition where Bushido competes—either myself or a member of our team will be there to coach and support you every step of the way.

This is a powerful reminder of our responsibility, leadership, faith, and commitment to service.

Being a coach means showing up for both the victories and the setbacks. It means being a mentor, a teacher, and someone who leads with heart and unwavering belief.

A true coach helps shape not only a student’s skills, but—more importantly—their character. Coaches help build strong minds. They’re there when you doubt yourself, and they believe in you—sometimes even more than you believe in yourself!

Behind every champion is someone who helped shape their journey. I had a Coach in high school who changed my life forever through leading by example on all fronts! We strive for the same at Bushido!

I thank God for giving me the honor of being that person for so many at Bushido, in both our kids’ and adult programs.

Whether you’re chasing gold 🏆 at Worlds or simply striving to get 1% better each day, know that we are always in your corner. 💪🏽

Bushido has become Indiana’s premier Jiu-Jitsu academy—not just because of our skill development, but because of our culture. Our aim is to build character and empower our students to believe in themselves, helping them reach their full potential through Jiu-Jitsu.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17

If you’re ready to learn Jiu-Jitsu and join the Bushido team—wherever you are—we’re waiting for you!
